ROGERS, LORETTA—Of Grand Blanc, age 81, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 25, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Visitation 9 am Thursday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Loretta was born in Pennington Gap, VA, on June 12, 1943, the daughter of the late Harrison and Myrtle Burke. Loretta enjoyed her numerous flower gardens and very spirited dog Rosie. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Loretta retired from Buick Motor Division after many years of service.
Surviving are siblings, Ruby Osborne, Fenton, MI; Bob Burke, Lupton, MI; Nellie Shirks, Pennington Gap, VA; Olin Burke (Teresa), Pennington Gap, VA; Susan Woodard (Gary), Jonesville, VA. Surviving are children, Danny Rogers, Grand Blanc, MI; David Rogers, Luttrell, TN; and Cheryl Laduke, Flint, MI.
Grandchildren: Kellie Rogers, Arora Rogers, David Rogers, Justin Rogers, Aaron Laduke, Kyle Laduke.
Great-grandchildren, Jayden Rogers, U.S. Navy.
Special Friend, Michael Golowka.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rogers; parents, Harrison and Myrtle Burke; brothers and sisters, Gracie Ricketts, Jake Burke, Alvin Burke, Jeanette Delph, Bernice Chapman, Eveyln Witt, Bud Burke, and Frank Burke.
The family would like to thank the staff at Serene Gardens of Grand Blanc for all their care, comfort, and support.
