HUNT, Gerald L. “Jerry” – of Oscoda, MI, formerly of Davison, age 74, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at his residence. The family will gather to receive friends from 5-8 PM Monday, April 1, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Cremation will follow visitation. Burial will be in West Vienna Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Jerry was born in Flint, MI on January 5, 1939, son of the late Daniel C. and Viola (Rathbun) Hunt. Jerry retired as a welder from AC Sparkplug on Averill Road after 30 years of service. During that time, he volunteered at Grand Blanc Fire Department for 17 years and taught welding at the Genesee Area Skill Center. After retirement, Jerry also volunteered at the Oscoda Fire Department. He also helped teach fire safety with both fire departments.
Jerry is survived by close companion for many years, Kathleen K. Reynolds; daughter, Laurie Bogie; son, Don (Tammy) Hunt; daughter-in-law, Robin Hunt; grandchildren, Kevin (Tina Seymour) Bissonnette, Jason (Erika) Hunt, Bethany Hunt, Dillan and John Hunt; 4 great-grandchildren, Elijah, Austin, Haleigh, and Aubrey; brothers, Wayne (Ruth Ann) Hunt and Jim (Cari) Hunt. He was preceded in death by son, Dennis Hunt; grandson, Jeremy Bissonnette; brother, Cecil Hunt.
