GLEASON, Jessie N. - Of Flint, age 96, died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Deacon Jim Corder officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Jessie was born in Arkansas on June 30, 1915, the daughter of the late W.A. and Daisy Jones and was a resident of Flint area for most of her life. Jessie enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, playing cards, spending time with people and helping them.
Surviving are daughter, Carol and husband Lloyd Toerpe of Grand Blanc;
several nieces and nephews;
special care-givers, Judy, Vivian, Jane, Jill, Betty, Renee and Ann.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Gleason, 5 sisters and 1 brother.
