KOSKI, Frank J. – of Flint, age 89, passed away November 6, 2011 at Heritage Manor. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Deacon Michael Dear officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association in Frank’s name.
Frank was born in Flint on November 20, 1921, son of the late Stanley and Bertha (Czopek) Koski. Frank proudly served his country in the Asiatic Pacific Theater with the U.S. Army during WWII receiving four bronze stars. He married Vera on November 5, 1949. She preceded him in death in January, 1991. Frank was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church; moving to Holy Rosary when St. Leo’s was closed. He retired from GM with 39 years of service. Frank enjoyed dancing and working in his yard.
Frank is survived by his children, Gary of Burton, Mark (Debbie) of Davison, Annette (Ed) Barry of Flint, Janis (Ken) West of Flint, Karen (Jeff) Farah of Webster Grove, MO; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and special friend, Evelyn Waters. He was preceded in death by his wife Vera and sister, Della Perez.
