MCANINCH, Evelyn Pauline - Of Grand Blanc, age 97, died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Regency at Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.
Burial in Surrey Township Cemetery, Farwell, Michigan.
Contributions may be made to the Grand Blanc Moose Lodge #1965.
Visitation 1-8pm Tuesday and 11am Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. A Moose Memorial Service will be held 7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home under the auspices of the Grand Blanc Moose Lodge #1965.
Evelyn was born in Birch Run, MI on March 20, 1917, the daughter of the late Reed and Lizzie (McCreedy) Butler. She grew up in Birch Run and was a resident of Flint most of her life. She was a member of many organizations including the Grand Blanc Moose Lodge #1965, Burton Eagles F.O.E., V.F.W. #822 and the Red Hat Society (Daffy Dozen). She was also a “Shriner Hillbilly”. She loved Detroit Tiger baseball and enjoyed a cold “Bud”.
Surviving are niece, Marlene (Robert) Gawne;
nieces, nephews and cousins;
good friends, Linda (Max) Nelson, Carol LaCross, Loretta (Ralph) Brown and many more.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil.
