Elizabeth (Betty) Jane McCready was born June 20, 1943 in Greensburg, PA and passed away on December 6, 2018, peacefully at home, in Davison, MI with her family. Betty taught school for over 30 years in Beecher and often said this was her mission in life. She loved gardening, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She loved God and spent her life at church until it was too hard. She is survived by daughter Carmen Ostrander Crusan (David), son John McCready (Joy), grandchildren Gregory Crusan, Zachary and Isabelle McCready, Lily and Lyle Ostrander, 3 sisters - Jeannie Smith of Greensburg, PA - Audrey Schultheis of Hillsville, VA - Rhoda Bell of Greensburg, PA - and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents Earl and Margaret (Myers) Cox, husbands Bryan Ostrander and John McCready, daughter Celeste Ostrander, and brothers David and Paul Cox. A memorial service will be announced later. The family would like to thank Angelic Heart Hospice especially Stacie and Tess for their love and care over the past months.
