STANDLEY, Christy Lynne (Wheeler) -- Age 44, of Flint died June 9, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, June 12 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Fr. Dan Kogut officiating. Interment at Bendle Cemetery, Clayton Township. Visitation will be held 5PM -8PM Tuesday, 2-4PM and 6-8PM Wednesday, and from 12 PM until time of service on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Christy was born December 21, 1969 in Flint, the daughter of Jay A. and Kathleen (Yax) Wheeler. She married Michael S. Standley on June 25, 2005 at Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene. She was a customer Service Representative for Security First Insurance.

Surviving are: husband, Michael Standley II of Flint; 2 children, Kaylea K. Ripenbark (fiance Brandon Baldwin) of Grand Blanc, Amelia M. Standley of Swartz Creek; granddaughter, Ella Baldwin; in laws, Michael and Valerie Standley of Swartz Creek; Sue (Larry) Krestar of Hale; step mother, Janet Wheeler of Lake City; 6 siblings, Matthew (Sally) Wheeler of Flint, Scott Wheeler of Flint, Joseph (Shawn) Wheeler of Grand Blanc, Cindy Brindley of Swartz Creek, Timothy (Summer) Wheeler of Chelsea, Jason (Jamie) Wheeler of Florida; sister in law, Becky (Mark) Blackstock of Flushing, Colleen (Gary) Dell of Swartz Creek; brother in law, Christopher ( Jessica) Snooks of Swartz Creek; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
