CARLEY, Raymond Edwin Jr. “Ed” – of Flint, age 70, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 12 Noon Friday, July 6, 2012 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Rev. Harold K. Polk Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM – 8 PM Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
Raymond was born in Flint, MI on July 4, 1941, son of the late Raymond and Claribel (Towns) Carley Sr. He retired from GM after 38 years of service and enjoyed family car rides.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lynda; children, Gary (Teresa) Carley Sr., Tamara (Michael) Kelly, David Carley, Debra Oszust; brother-in-law, Ted Case; sisters-in-law, Linda Belcher and Kim Carley; grandchildren, Melissa (Dan), Ryan, Ashley and Gary Carley Jr., Genny (Corey), Chelsea and Tome Walker, Ashley (Aaron), Nancy and Mark Murray, Sheila and Brett Hopkins; great-grandchildren, Claire, McKinzie, Alexa, MaKenna, Zachary, Alyssa, Madison, Paige, Drake, Brooke; many nieces. He was preceded in death by brother, Robert; sister, Sandra; father and mother-in-law, Fredrick and Agnes Belcher; brother-in-law, Fred Belcher Jr.; sister-in-law, Glenda Case. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Genesys Hospice Care Center.
